Generic Children's Medications
Posted on: 06/28/2010
Due to the recent product recall by McNeil Consumer Healthcare, the following children's medications are projected to remain in limited supply throughout the summer months:
Infants' and Children's Tylenol, Infants' and Children's Motrin, Children's Zyrtec, Children's Benadryl
Generic versions of these medications have not been recalled and have always been recommended by our practice. Stores such as Walgreens', CVS, Target ("Up & Up"), and Walmart ("Equate") offer generic versions of these medications for your convenience. Look for the following generic names to make sure you are purchasing the correct product:
Tylenol = acetaminophen
Motrin = ibuprofen
Zyrtec = cetirizine
Benadryl = diphenhydramine
