Mental Health Services
PHCA’s commitment to providing your family with the best possible care continues with the addition of mental health services. Many of our patients find they need someone to talk to about life problems or mental health issues. Access to pediatric and family counseling is limited in many communities, and that’s why we began offering these services at our Peabody location in 2010. As experts in providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families, our clinicians can work with you to navigate these complicated issues. A wide variety of concerns may be addressed, including but not limited to behavioral problems, ADHD, depression, anxiety, self-injury, and pervasive developmental disorders (PDD) such as Asperger’s and autism.
What is a mental health appointment?
You and your child will meet with a clinician to complete an initial assessment. Based on the information gathered, the clinician will determine an appropriate course of treatment and collaborate with your child’s pediatrician to ensure your child’s best care. Our mental health clinicians strive to include the child and family in all phases of the treatment process.

Calls are returned Monday through Thursday; please allow up to 48 hours for a return call. While we currently offer individual, family, and group therapy at our Peabody location, please be advised that our clinicians currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Network Health and Masshealth: MBHP insurance ONLY. At this time only one of our clinicians, Kristen Homan, is also able to accept Tufts health insurance. We are working to have these services covered by additional insurers in the near future and will keep you updated as it changes.
